Seven-year deal with CGI to deliver asset management solutions to Glasgow City Council

Leamington Spa, UK, 12th November 2018 – Yotta, a provider of cloud-based infrastructure asset management software and services, has won its largest contract in Scotland to date. The seven-year contract with CGI, a leading independent IT and business process service firm, is to deliver asset management services and solutions to Scotland’s largest local authority, Glasgow City Council.

Under the terms of the deal, Yotta will be implementing all the modules of its Mayrise Asset Management suite to help the council deliver domestic and trade waste collections; street cleansing; grounds maintenance; street lighting, and roads maintenance. The council will also be using Yotta’s visualised asset management software, Horizons, to test an array of different long-term forward works planning strategies.

Commenting on the news Nick Smee, Managing Director of Yotta, said:

“An important part of Yotta’s growth strategy was to establish relationships with key strategic partners like CGI. This exciting project is testament to the success of that approach as we continue to deliver against our strategic ambitions. Our highly differentiated software platform has been built for the connected world and will allow Glasgow City Council to get a comprehensive 360-degree view of all its assets.”

Yotta was selected on the basis of being one of the only service providers capable of delivering a platform which co-ordinates information across multiple service areas. CGI eventually plans to migrate council users over to Yotta’s state-of-the art connected asset management software solution, Alloy.

Steve Smart, Senior Vice President, Scotland of CGI, added:

“CGI has a broad range of platform-as-a-service capabilities, helping clients leverage a range of platforms to accomplish specific business objectives. Moving forwards, with the implementation of Alloy, the council will have the opportunity to make use of the latest sensor and connected asset management technology to further its aim of becoming the leading smart city in Scotland and ultimately in Europe too.”
